Yes. The PDF opens on any phone, tablet or laptop. It is sized for A4 paper, so you can print the whole book or only the project you need, at home or at a print shop.
Std. 1 to 5 (about age 6 to 11). Level 1 is for Std. 1 and each level climbs one standard, up to Level 5 for Std. 5. Older children who are new to STEM can start one or two levels lower.
Level 1 uses things from home. Every project lists its materials with an approximate rupee cost, so you can plan before you buy. For example, the electronics kit for Level 2 is about ₹250–400, while an Arduino robot car in Level 5 is about ₹1,400–1,800. Prices are approximate and vary by shop and city.
Not for Levels 1 and 2. Level 3 uses Scratch, which is free and runs in a web browser. Levels 4 and 5 need a laptop or desktop computer with a USB port to upload code to the Arduino board.
Levels 1 to 3 need no Arduino. Arduino (or a compatible board) is used in Level 4 and in most Level 5 projects, and the IoT projects use a Wi-Fi board. The ebook explains what to buy, level by level.
All electronics projects use low-voltage batteries or USB power only, never 230V mains. Steps that need a grown-up are clearly marked ADULT SUPERVISION REQUIRED or CHILD SHOULD NOT PERFORM THIS STEP ALONE.
